Honda City 2024
The Honda City, a subcompact sedan by Honda, was first launched in 1981 as a 3-door hatchback/2-door convertible. The second generation debuted in 1986, but the model was discontinued in 1994. It was reintroduced in 1996 as a four-door sedan, with the third generation built on Honda’s Global Small Car platform, featuring a unique fuel tank placement under the front seats.
The third generation gained popularity, particularly in Pakistan, and a facelift was introduced in 2000. The fourth generation launched globally in 2002 and in Pakistan in 2003, featuring the fuel-efficient i-DSI engine. A facelift followed in 2005, offering updated exterior and interior designs.
The fifth generation debuted in Pakistan in 2009 and remains in production, with various facelifts introduced over the years. Known for its fuel economy and smooth drive, it is available in 1.3L and 1.5L variants, though it lacks airbags. The sixth generation launched globally in 2014, with the seventh generation introduced internationally in 2020 and arriving in Pakistan in 2021.
